When I was using eBay they would charge me a 10% final sale fee and PayPal would charge me 2.9% as a transaction fee. So anything I sold on eBay cost me 13% of the final sale price. 13% of $3,000 ($390.00)… Did eBay not charge you a final sale fee of 10%?

With about a 3% ebay fee, it seems worth it when trying to get intro bonus miles/points of 75,000 or 100,000. I read somewhere that paypal does NOT charge for first 10 items (per month, I think), so essentially you are paying 3% of $3,000 ($90) for up to $1000 worth of miles/points.

That way, we prepay our groceries or other planned expenses. The gift cards don’t expire. We do have to pay for the spend before the three months are up.
