I have read through this several times and still see no answer to the question–HOW could one possibly earn 2x the points for every cent in purchases?

this card is marketed as 2x the points for travel.
The best conversion ratio is 1.5x your purchase cents.

There is no way to get 2 cents for every 1 cent in purchases.

My wife has the Venture Card and I have the Spark and over the years we have used the heck out of the points (literally thousands of dollars). They are easy to use and earn (no categories to keep track of). But we use them very specifically for travel expenses that we can’t use Hotel points or airline miles for. On our recent trip to Cancun we used Marriott points to stay at he JW Marriott and Delta Miles for flights. We charged our restaurant visits and room upgrade fees in the hotel to the room. They showed up as hotel charges and we used the Cap One Card purchase eraser to cover them all. I try to take wonderful vacations for free and these cards are a valuable tool to enable me to do that.

You actually do have the ability to transfer to 14 different airline partners to potentially get much more than 1 cent per point 🙂

Can you erase museums or travel activity fees? To me, that is terrific since there aren’t alternative programs to use to eliminate those expenses.

Who in their right mind would use a card worth a penny a point. The valuation is horrible and the eraser you recommend is horrible. So to erase a $600 airline ticket, it cost me 60k points, seriously nuts! For 25k airline miles I can get the same ticket for free with points.
I understand you make money from card sign-ups, but give some good advice
