I have the old card, and I just got the 10% rebate on a stay in November. It was a four night stay where I got the 4th night free, so the 10% back is still a benefit that stacks. Four nights in a 25K per night hotel for a net 67,500 points.

I know they got rid of it on the newer refreshed IHG card, so unless they changed something on the old card, I’d think you should be receiving the 10%.

Can you check and see what their customer support says?

Hi Jayson,

One of the terms states:

-No bonus points will be awarded for stays prior to registration

So it doesn’t sound like that would work, unfortunately.

Maybe that’s a slightly smaller payoff than the best offers, but I like that it kicks in with very little effort and doesn’t require a lot of planning or multiple brand combinations, or stays on specific days. So I’m good.
