Comments on: New Hyatt promos: Up to 2,500 bonus points plus free night certificate after qualifying stays https://millionmilesecrets.com/news/hyatt-promotions/ Mon, 17 Oct 2022 19:28:56 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.1.4 By: Monique https://millionmilesecrets.com/news/hyatt-promotions/#comment-5805948 Wed, 19 Aug 2020 17:18:12 +0000 https://rvprmmsprd.wpengine.com/?p=518794#comment-5805948 Per this bullet “Hyatt elite status members will receive 2,500 bonus points for the first qualifying stay during the offer period. “Eligible stay” in this case means both paid nights and award nights of at least one stay.”

Per the T&C on the Hyatt site “For the purpose of this promotion, an “Eligible Stay” is defined as any night where a member is paying an Eligible Rate for at least one night of their stay.” Which makes it sound like it is only available for paid stays and not for points stays. Can anyone confirm? Also a DP, I am a Globalist, I had a points stay last weekend and I did not get 2500 bonus points. I know it says it can take 2-3 weeks but others are seeing it right away and I am not.

The previously booked stay will trigger the credit, now that you’ve signed up for the promotion. So you’re all set.

I found this info in the FAQ on the promo page.

After signing up for the promotion, do I need to cancel and rebook, or will that previously booked stay trigger the credit?

Should I pay with my hyatt card or gold amex? I am an explorist. Am I gonna trigger any of this promotion?
Thank you

Also, does a night stay at a Hyatt Place count as the ‘1st’ night stay or does the 1st night have to be at a larger Hyatt property?

The 10% rebate applies to all the points redemptions mentioned in the post and isn’t limited geographically, but you do need a Hyatt credit card to qualify.
