I am considering pulling the plug on my Barclays Aviator card. Gone are the 10K miles per year on renewal and the 10% rebate of miles redeemed. Now with variable pricing, the saver award has been mostly replaced with web specials which are available to all. I doubt these awards would qualify for the co branded card discount but I hope I’m wrong.

I would return Sept 4.

In reply to Andrew Wan. They update every 2 months on the first day of the month. For example the April/May cities dropped off the list on June 1 and the Aug/Sep cities were added

Hi Jim,

They generally update it monthly. But as to exactly what day or time, my experience tells me that can vary.

I even found some people in online forums from last year commenting about overdue updates to the reduced mileage awards list, wondering when it would be updated, etc. So I don’t think there’s a specific time or day the list is updated.

Can an authorized user be added to CC account and be eligible to book reduced mileage awards out of their FF account? The authorized user I would add has Platinum Pro status and does not have the close in booking fee of $75.

Quick question, just want to make sure I’m understanding this correctly. If you were to book a round trip using this, and the trip had one stop in either direction, you would still only receive the 7,500 pt discount (assuming that was the amount) once, correct?

If, however, you made two separate reservations–a round trip ticket from the origin city to the layover city and a round trip ticket from the layover city to the destination city–would you then be able to get the 7,000 point discount (assuming both flights were over 500 miles) twice instead of once?
