When I realized I actually needed several 1,000s of miles for an award ticket… oh man, talk about shattered dreams lol.

I also did bone-headed things like credit airline flights to whichever airline I was on – long before I realized they were all in cahoots with alliances and partnerships.

And that was after I signed up for any loyalty accounts. I was one of those people that just bought a ticket and took a flight without crediting it anywhere. Seems like several lifetimes ago by now!
